Duke Snider launched 2 homeruns and Russ Meyer pitched a complete game as the
Brooklyn Dodgers crushed the Chicago Cubs 13 to 2.

Snider enjoyed a big day at the plate. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in
the 5th inning and launched a Grand Slam homerun (his 3rd of the season) in
the 7th inning. Brooklyn simply wore out the Chicago pitching staff, scoring
in 6 different innings.

The victory went to Meyer(2-2) who went the distance allowing 2 runs. John
Andre(1-1) was given the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks
in 4 and 2/3 innings.
