Duke Snider blasted 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Karl Spooner pitched a
complete game as the seemingly unstoppable Brooklyn Dodgers smashed the
overmatched Cincinnati Redlegs, 14 to 1.

Snider was unconscious out there. While Cincinnati pitching was serving
softballs up there for him to hit, the Cincinnati fans were serving up some
hardball barbs when he entered the batter's box. But he just used it as fuel
for the fire. He belted a three-run homer in the 3rd inning and popped a
two-run clout over the fence (his 7th of the season) in the 9th inning.
Brooklyn dominated offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.

Spooner(2-0) allowed 1 run on the game. The loss was charged to Johnny
Klippstein(1-1). His ERA ballooned from 5.60 to 6.95 as he allowed 6 runs in
4 and 1/3 innings.

This win by Brooklyn continues their recent hot streak. In their last ten
games, they have a record of 9-1. For the season, they are 19-11. With the
loss Cincinnati now has a record of 13-15.
