Jim Wilson pitched a 1 hitter and HAl Smith had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the
Baltimore Orioles defeated the Cleveland Indians 3 to 1 at Memorial
Stadium.

Baltimore started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. The early run support proved
sufficient for Wilson(1-3) and Baltimore. That was all the run support
Wilson required. Baltimore managed 8 in their victory.

Bob Lemon(3-4) was hit with the loss. He allowed 2 runs and 4 hits in 5
innings.
