Jim Busby went deep and had 3 RBI and Mickey McDermott completed the game
without help from the bullpen as the Washington Nationals clobbered the
outmatched Kansas City Athletics, 14 to 1.

The Washington fans enjoyed the offense provided by Busby. He doubled in the
2nd inning, banged out a single in the 7th inning and smashed a two-run homer
(his 1st of the season) in the 8th inning. Washington rapped out 19 hits for
the night.

McDermott(2-2) allowed 1 run on the game. Alex Kellner(2-2) absorbed the loss.
He surrendered 4 runs and 4 hits in 1 and 2/3 innings.
