The Milwaukee Braves nipped the Cincinnati Redlegs 5 to 4 at County Stadium in
a hard fought contest.
 
Lew Burdette(4-3) was solid if not spectacular.  He went 6 innings allowing 5
hits and 1 walk and served up 2 'big flies'.  Cincinnati had a chance to come
back in the 9th but they came up short.  
 
Burdette was helped out by Bob Buhl who recorded his 1st save.  Gerry
Staley(2-5) was the losing pitcher.  He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 4 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings.
