Mike Garcia blanked Chicago in a very well-pitched complete game as the
Cleveland Indians outscored the Chicago White Sox 1 to 0.

Garcia(4-4) looked very much in control throughout the day. He allowed just 9
hits and 3 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 2.87 to 2.45. Chicago
had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.

Sandy Consuegra(2-1) was hit with the loss. 'Fundamentals, fundamentals,
fundamentals' said Marty Marion after the game. 'We lost this game today
because we didn't follow the instructions every Little Leaguer hears every
day.'
