AL transaction - June 1st
The Kansas City Athletics signed 18 year old Clete Boyer out of Cassville, Missouri and immediately placed him on the Major League roster. Signed as a free agent Bonus Baby, Clete's older brother Cloyd is a pitcher on the Athletic roster.
