Glen Gorbous had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the Philadelphia Phillies topped the
New York Giants in 13 innings by a score of 8 to 7 at Polo Grounds.

The game was deadlocked at 7 after nine full innings. Philadelphia won the
hard fought contest in the 13th inning. After two were out Gorbous slapped a
base-hit. Earl Torgeson followed and he doubled scoring the run. Both teams
ended up with 15 on the afternoon.

The win was credited to Herm Wehmeier(5-1) who went 3 innings allowing no
runs. Windy McCall(2-2) suffered the loss in relief. He surrendered 1 run
and 2 hits in 1 inning.
