Bob Lemon completed the game without help from the bullpen at Municipal
Stadium as the Cleveland Indians won a thriller over the struggling
Washington Nationals in, 4 to 3.

Cleveland scored the deciding run in the 9th inning. After an out was
recorded, Al Rosen tripled. Dave Pope came next and he slapped a one-base
hit making Cleveland the winners and sending the 27,539 fans home happy.
Cleveland had a total of 10 hits for the game.

Lemon(5-6) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Camilo Pascual(0-4)
suffered the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run and 2 hits in 1/3 of an
inning.
