Bob Turley allowed only 2 hits resulting in a big goose egg on the scoreboard
for Chicago as the streaking New York Yankees beat the Chicago White Sox by a
score of 9 to 0.

Andy Carey had a big evening at the plate. He tripled clearing all three
ducks off the pond. in the 2nd inning, lashed a single in the 7th inning and
slapped a one-base hit bringing in a run in the 9th inning. New York banged
out 14 on the night.

It was the 3rd shutout of the year for Turley(7-1). The loss was charged to
Jack Harshman(3-2). He allowed 7 hits and 2 walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.

New York continued on their recent roll, their winning streak now reaching 7
games and counting.
