NL Transaction June 4th
The Milwaukee Braves sent 27 year old catcher Charlie White down to the minors today to make room for Del Rice, aquired from the Cardinals yesterday. White was hitting .233 with no home runs and 5 RBI in 14 games. As a rookie last year he hit .196 in 47 games as the Braves backup backstop.
