Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Chicago Cubs by the score of 1 to 0.
Purkey(3-3) gave Pittsburgh a solid outing. He allowed just 1 hit and 1 walk
in 6 and 2/3 innings lowering his ERA from 4.57 to 4.12. Pittsburgh finished
with just 5 hits in the victory.
