NL Transaction June 8th
The Brooklyn Dodgers recalled rookie 19 year old pitcher Sandy Koufax back up to the big club today. To make room 27 year old pitcher Tommy Lasorda was sent to Triple A.Koufax was up earlier in the year pitching in relief for 2 games, winning one. In 2 innings pitched he is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA. Manager Walt Alston said that he might give the rookie a few starts as the minor league reports have been very good.
Lasorda in one start was 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA. He also pitched in 8 innings last year with a 2.16 ERA.
