The Boston Red Sox registered 4 runs in the 8th inning and toppled the Kansas
City Athletics by a 11 to 7 score at Municipal Stadium.

Boston scored the decisive runs in a big 8th inning when they scored 4 runs on
1 hit. The highlight belonged to Sammy White who deflated the crowd as he
quieted the crowd by clouting a Grand Slam (his 6th of the season). Although
they lost, Kansas City did out-hit Boston 15 to 9.

The victory was credited to George Susce(1-1) who went 4 innings, allowing 1
run. Bill Harrington(0-4) was charged with the loss in relief.
