Warren Spahn allowed Charlie Grimm to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game at Connie Mack Stadium as the Milwaukee Braves beat the Philadelphia
Phillies by the count of 6 to 3.

The game started off with Milwaukee taking the lead in the first scoring 2
runners on 3 hits. Milwaukee took care of Philadelphia with no trouble in
the bottom of the 9th.

Spahn(5-4) lasted until the end allowing 3 runs for the win. Bob Kuzava(0-3)
was charged with the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 6 runs in 4
innings.
