Third baseman Jackie Robinson slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Crosley
Field as the Brooklyn Dodgers beat the Cincinnati Redlegs 10 to 4.

Robinson led the offense for Brooklyn. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in
the 2nd inning, cracked a solo homerun (his 7th of the season) in the 4th
inning and delivered a single in the 7th inning. Brooklyn finished with 12
hits in the victory.

The win went to Johnny Podres(6-2) who allowed 1 run in 5 and 2/3 innings.
Johnny Klippstein(2-4) took the loss. He served up 4 homeruns in his 3 and
1/3 innings.
