The Chicago White Sox tallied 5 runs in the 9th inning and had very little
trouble at Memorial Stadium downing the Baltimore Orioles. The score was 8
to 1.

Chicago drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
scoring a single run. Mike Fornieles(4-2) got relief help from Dixie Howell
who was excellent in relief and gained credit for his 1st save.

Jim Wilson(4-6) took the loss. He gave up 3 runs and 6 hits in 8 innings.
