NL Transaction June 16th


The Brooklyn Dodgers placed starting pitcher Billy Loes on the DL. The 25 year old Loes, in his 5th season with the Dodgers, was 5-3 with a 3.37 ERA in 11 starts so far this year. Last year he finished 12-6 with a 4.65 ERA in 21 starts. Dodger skipper, Walter Alston said that Clem Labine would take Loes spot in the rotation until his return.
