Paul Minner came through with a solid 9 innings and Randy Jackson went yard
and had 2 RBI as the Chicago Cubs outscored the New York Giants 3 to
2.

Chicago claimed the early lead in the first inning when they tallied 2 runs on
3 hits. Chicago finished with 11 hits in the victory.

The win was credited to Minner(5-4) who went the whole way allowing 2 runs.
Jim Hearn(6-6) was the loser. He allowed 3 runs and 11 hits in 8 innings.
