First baseman Bill Skowron connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI at Yankee
Stadium where the New York Yankees beat the Chicago White Sox 4 to 3.

New York did all of it's offensive work in the 6th inning when they tallied 4
runs on 3 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Skowron who made the
crowd happy when he smashed a two-run homer (his 6th of the season). Chicago
had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.

Johnny Kucks(5-2) allowed 3 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory.
Kucks got relief help from Bob Grim who gained credit for his 1st save. Jack
Harshman(4-4) was the loser.

The New York ballclub's record now stands at a league leading 43-22. With the
loss, Chicago has a record of 7-3 lately, 37-22 overall.

Comments:
Hey I just started a 1955 replay on computer with Brooklyn. Noticing that the Pittsburgh team I'm playing against has two George Freeses on the bench - any idea what's up with that?
