Dave Pope had 2 base hits as the Baltimore Orioles won at Memorial Stadium in
dramatic fashion over the Cleveland Indians, the final score, 3 to 2.

The game was decided in the 9th inning. After two were out Pope lashed a
single. Gus Triandos stepped up next and he doubled making Baltimore the
victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. Despite losing,
Cleveland out-hit Baltimore 10 to 7.

The winning pitcher was Ray Moore(5-6) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Don
Mossi(4-3) absorbed the loss in relief. He surrendered 1 run and 2 hits in
2/3 of an inning.
