Right fielder Wally Post had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Cincinnati Redlegs
defeated the ice-cold Pittsburgh Pirates 8 to 3 at Crosley Field.

Gerry Staley(4-5) pitched well enough to earn the win. He went 7 and 1/3
innings allowing 11 hits and no walks. Cincinnati had 13 hits for the
afternoon.

Lino Donoso(0-1) was the loser. He was not very effective, surrendering 6
runs in 3 and 2/3 innings.
