Harry Byrd tossed his 2nd shutout in a row for his new team as the White Sox blank the Nationals 3-0.

Harry Byrd blanked Washington in a very well-pitched complete game at Griffith
Stadium where the Chicago White Sox beat the Washington Nationals by the
score of 3 to 0.

Byrd(8-4) looked very much in control throughout the day. He allowed just 7
hits and 2 walks in 9 innings improving his ERA from 2.91 to 2.59. Chicago
totaled 10 on the afternoon.

Camilo Pascual(0-7) was given the loss. He gave up 3 runs and 9 hits in 8
innings. The Chicago ballclub's record now stands at 39-23. With the loss
Washington now has a record of 24-39.
