Johnny Antonelli hurled a 3 hitter as the New York Giants beat the Cincinnati
Redlegs by a score of 3 to 1.

Cincinnati never recovered after New York took the lead in the top of the 6th
inning plating an isolated run using 2 hits. After two outs Don Mueller
doubled. Willie Mays stepped into the batter's box and he was walked
intentionally. Bobby Hofman then slapped a base-hit, and an error was also
committed, scoring the run. The game was a scoreless duel until the 6th
inning.

The victory was credited to Antonelli(5-6) who went the distance, allowing 1
run. Jackie Collum(0-2) was hit with the loss.

'All of my pitches were working tonight,' Antonelli said. 'I felt really good
out there, and heck, I think I could have gone longer.'
