Ted Kluszewski smacked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Cincinnati Redlegs
destroyed the New York Giants by a score of 14 to 4 at Crosley Field.

It was a good day for Cincinnati thanks to Kluszewski. He delivered a solo
blast in the 3rd inning, lined a base-hit in the 5th inning and rifled a
three-run blast (his 21st of the season) in the 7th inning. Overall
Cincinnati out-hit New York 15 to 5.

Gerry Staley(5-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 4 runs. Sal Maglie(4-3) ended up with the loss. He allowed 5 hits
and 3 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
