The St. Louis Cardinals sent 25 year old pitcher Bobby Tiefenauer down to Triple A. He was 0-0 with a 4.96 ERA in 18 games over 32 2/3 innings pitched. Tiefenauer had pitched 8 innings in 1952 with the Redbirds posting a 7.88 ERA.
