Russ Meyer whitewashed Chicago on 2 hits at Wrigley Field as the Brooklyn
Dodgers beat the Chicago Cubs 3 to 0.

Meyer(4-2) was on top of his game. He gave up just 2 hits and 3 walks in 9
innings seeing his ERA drop from 4.43 to 3.62. Neither team managed to score
after the 3rd inning.

Bob Rush(7-6) was the losing pitcher. He pitched 8 innings allowing 4 hits
and 4 walks. 'He had his 'A' game today,' Walt Alston said of Meyer. 'Very
impressive performance.'
