Cuban import Lino Donoso, in his 2nd ML start, throws a 5 hit shutout as the Pirates split the doubleheader with the Cubs 3-0.

Lino Donoso pitched 9 strong innings and Dick Groat had 2 base hits as the
Pittsburgh Pirates outscored the Chicago Cubs 3 to 0.

Donoso(1-1) was tremendous on the mound for Pittsburgh. He was stingy on the
mound, allowing just 5 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Pittsburgh rapped out 7
hits for the afternoon.

Bob Rush(7-7) absorbed the loss. He pitched 6 innings giving up 5 hits and 2
walks.
