AL transaction June 27th
The Detroit Tigers recalled relief pitcher Leo Cristante and sent down outfielder Jim Small.
The 28 year old Cristante was sent to Triple A on June 15th with an 0-1 record in 16 games. He had 3.13 ERA over 23 innings pitched, all in relief.
The 18 year old Small had just been signed out of Portland, Oregon on June 11th. In two appearances he was one for two as a pinch hitter. Tigers skipper, Bucky Harris, said "I believe Small will be back up here after a couple of years seasoning in the minors"
