Pete Runnels drove in 2 runs in the 7th as Washington rallied for a 3-2 win over Boston and a split of their doubleheader.

Harmon Killebrew touched them all at Griffith Stadium as the Washington
Nationals beat the Boston Red Sox by the count of 3 to 2.

Washington tallied 2 runs in the 7th inning when they had 3 base hits. The
critical plate appearance was by Pete Runnels who electrified Griffith
Stadium when he delivered a single scoring two baserunners. Washington ended
