The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Cincinnati Redlegs by a score of 5 to 2
at Sportsmans Park.

Cincinnati was unable to recover after St. Louis went ahead in the 5th inning
when they tallied 2 runs on 2 hits. St. Louis had 8 hits for the game and
Cincinnati had 5.

Floyd Wooldridge(3-1) went 7 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Joe
Nuxhall(8-5) was hit with the loss. St. Louis now has a record of 30-37.
Cincinnati will hope that this loss is only a 'blip' on their recent 8-2 run
- and not a start of a new trend.
