AL Transaction July 1st
The Baltimore Orioles released 10 year veteran pitcher Joe Coleman. The 32 year old Coleman was placed on the DL May 10th after starting the season 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA. Last year he was 10-15 with a 3.09 ERA over 32 starts for the Orioles.
Fred Marsh was activated from the DL to take Colemans roster spot. Marsh was aquired in the off season from the White Sox. The 30 year old secondbaseman was hitting .333 in 24 AB's before going on the DL June 1st. Last season he hit .361 in 108 plate appearances with Chicago.
