Billy Pierce tossed a complete game as the blistering-hot Chicago White Sox
defeated the Cleveland Indians by a score of 3 to 2 at Municipal
Stadium.

Chicago tallied 1 run in the top of the 7th inning. Cleveland was retired
without difficulty in the bottom of the 9th.

Pierce(8-3) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Early Wynn(6-3)
absorbed the loss. He surrendered 3 runs and 4 hits in 9 innings.

Chicago continued their winning ways, with their streak now at 9 games and
counting.
