George Susce threw a 5 hit shutout as the Red Sox pound the Orioles 9-0.

Catcher Sammy White hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI and George Susce hurled a fine
complete game shutout as the Boston Red Sox defeated the Baltimore Orioles 9
to 0 at Memorial Stadium.

Susce(2-3) was tremendous on the mound for Boston. He allowed only 5 hits and
2 walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 3.82 to 3.09. Boston finished
with 13 hits in the victory.

Don Johnson(1-5) was the losing pitcher. He was unable to control the Boston
offense and allowed 6 hits and 3 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
