AL Transaction July 4th
The Baltimore Orioles released 31 year old 7 year veteran pitcher Saul Rogovin. Rogovin was (2-5) with a 5.07 ERA in 12 starts and 71 IP.
To replace Rogovin on the roster Baltimore called up 21 year old 1B Bob Hale. From Sarasota, Florida, Hale was signed to the organization in 1952. He will be making his debut today according to Orioles skipper Paul Richards.
