offensive moment was provided by Eddie Robinson who elicited a roar from the
hometown fans when he doubled bringing in two baserunners. New York managed
10 in their victory.

Ed Lopat(5-5) got the win allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Lopat got help from
Jim Konstanty who was credited with his 8th save. Johnny Schmitz(5-5)
absorbed the loss.

The winning ways continue for New York. They now have a record of 8-2 in
