Larry Doby had 2 base hits and Bob Lemon allowed Al Lopez to rest his bullpen,
tossing a complete game as the Cleveland Indians beat the Chicago White Sox
by a score of 3 to 2.

Lemon(8-7) gave Cleveland a solid outing. He allowed only 7 hits and 1 walk
in 9 innings. The pitchers took over after the 2nd inning as neither team
was able to score again.

Dick Donovan(10-3) took the loss. The Cleveland ballclub's record now stands
at 47-28. Chicago will hope that this loss is only a 'blip' on their recent
8-2 run - and not a start of a new trend.
