Third baseman George Kell had 2 base hits and Connie Johnson tossed a complete
game shutout at Municipal Stadium as the Chicago White Sox beat the Kansas
City Athletics 4 to 0.

Johnson(1-0) gave Chicago a solid outing. He was stingy on the mound,
allowing just 5 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings. Chicago finished with 8 hits
in the victory.

Alex Kellner(3-7) absorbed the loss. The winning ways continue for Chicago.
