The Boston Red Sox defeated the floundering Baltimore Orioles by a score of 6
to 2 at Memorial Stadium.

Boston took the lead for keeps in the top of the 4th inning plating an
isolated run. After an out was recorded, Norm Zauchin drew a walk. Zauchin
stole second with some aggressive base running. After another out, Grady
Hatton came to the plate and smacked a single scoring the run. Boston rapped
out 8 hits for the afternoon.

The win went to Frank Sullivan(9-6) who allowed 1 run in 5 innings. Jim
McDonald(0-4) was charged with the loss. He allowed 7 hits and 6 walks in 8
innings.
