Grady Hatton had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Boston Red Sox defeated the
Washington Nationals by the score of 15 to 7 at Fenway Park.

Hatton had a good day at the plate. He laced a single in the 2nd inning,
delivered a base-hit in the 3rd inning, doubled bringing in two baserunners
in the 4th inning and doubled scoring two baserunners in the 5th inning.
Boston kept the scorekeepers busy in the 4th inning with 6 runs on 7 hits.
Boston out-hit Washington for the game, 18 hits to 14.

Leo Kiely(3-3) went 4 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Tom Hurd
earned the save, his 4th. The loss was charged to Ted Abernathy(4-3). He
was knocked around by Boston, allowing 10 hits and 5 walks in 3 and 1/3
innings.
