Roy Sievers connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI and Dean Stone pitched a
complete game as the Washington Nationals beat the slumping Baltimore Orioles
by a score of 8 to 6.

Washington had the game winning rally in the top of the 8th inning scoring 4
runners on 2 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Sievers who
deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he lost the ball over the
fence for three runs (his 9th of the season). Washington finished with 12
hits in the victory.

Stone(6-6), allowing 6 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Ray
Moore(5-8) suffered the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 10 hits and 5 walks
in 7 and 2/3 innings.

With this win, Washington has a 30-45 record. They have been 5-5 lately.
Baltimore continued their losing ways and their record is now 24-50, worst in
the league. They are 1-9 in their last ten games.
