Harry Byrd allowed Marty Marion to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
and Jim Busby hit a homerun as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Kansas City
Athletics by the score of 6 to 3 at Municipal Stadium.

Chicago jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring one runner.
Chicago banged out 14 on the afternoon.

The win was credited to Byrd(10-4) who went the whole way allowing 3 runs. Art
Ditmar(3-5) was hit with the loss. He allowed 9 hits and 1 walk in 5
innings.
