Whitey Ford was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and catcher Yogi Berra had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Memorial
Stadium as the New York Yankees beat the floundering Baltimore Orioles by the
count of 3 to 2.

New York tallied 2 runs in the 6th inning. Baltimore had a chance to come
back in the 9th but they came up short.

The win was credited to Ford(9-4) who went the whole way allowing 2 runs. Jim
Wilson(5-8) suffered the loss. He surrendered 3 runs and 7 hits in 9
innings.
