NL Transaction July 9th
The Philadelphia Phillies signed Saul Rogovin as a free agent. Rogovin, a 31 year old Righthander, is in his 6th Major League season. He did not pitch at all in 1954 and was released by the Orioles 5 days ago after going 2-5 with a 5.07 ERA in 12 starts and 71 IP. Phillies manager Mayo Smith will put him in the starting rotation in hopes of bolstering the Philadelphia hurling woes.
