The Detroit Tigers released Ferris Fain. Then the Cleveland Indians signed Ferris Fain as a free agent. Fain, a 34 year old firstbaseman, is in his 9th season and this will be his 4th team. Last year for the White Sox he hit .295 with 5 homers and 47 RBI over 80 games. This year for the Tigers he hit .284 with 2 homers and 12 RBI over 52 games.
