Warren Spahn pitched a complete game shutout at Forbes Field as the Milwaukee

Braves beat the pathetic Pittsburgh Pirates by the count of 5 to 0.



Del Crandall had a big day at the plate. He doubled in the 3rd inning,

doubled bringing in a run in the 7th inning and cracked a two-run shot (his

19th of the season) in the 9th inning. Milwaukee rapped out 13 hits for the

afternoon.



It was the 2nd shutout of the year for Spahn(12-5). The losing pitcher was

Lino Donoso(1-4). He pitched 8 innings allowing 9 hits and 2 walks.
