Clem Labine tossed a complete game as the spectacular Brooklyn Dodgers crushed
the Milwaukee Braves 12 to 1.
Jim Gilliam provided much of the offense. He doubled in the 2nd inning,
doubled scoring two baserunners in the 3rd inning and doubled knocking in a
run in the 6th inning. Brooklyn totaled 13 on the afternoon.
The victory was credited to Labine(7-2) who went the distance, allowing 1 run.
Ray Crone(3-5) took the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 7 hits and 5 walks
in 4 and 2/3 innings.
