Larry Doby hit one over the fence at Municipal Stadium where the Cleveland
Indians beat the woeful Baltimore Orioles 2 to 1.
The game was won by Cleveland with a run in the bottom of the 8th inning.
After two outs Doby smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 26th of the
season). Cleveland ended up with 7 hits for the game while Baltimore had 4.
Bob Feller(6-2) went 8 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Ray Narleski
recorded his 10th save. George Zuverink(1-3) was given the loss in relief.
