Chicago's Jack Harshman threw a 7 hitter for his 2nd consecutive shutout, 1-0 over Boston.

Jack Harshman tossed a shutout at Comiskey Park as the indomitable Chicago

White Sox beat the Boston Red Sox by the count of 1 to 0.



Harshman(8-5) had a strong outing. He allowed only 7 hits and 1 walk in 9

innings improving his ERA from 4.26 to 3.92. Chicago took care of Boston

with no trouble in the 9th.



The loss was charged to Tom Brewer(9-7). He surrendered 1 run and 8 hits in 6

innings.
