Del Crandall launched 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Lew Burdette allowed

Charlie Grimm to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Milwaukee

Braves defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers by the score of 7 to 5 at Ebbets

Field.



Crandall led the offense for Milwaukee. He cracked a solo homerun in the 2nd

inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 21st of the

season) in the 6th inning. Milwaukee had a total of 10 hits for the game.



Burdette(9-7) lasted until the end allowing 5 runs for the win. Don

Newcombe(9-7) was the losing pitcher. He served up 5 gopher balls in 7

innings.
